Cleaning of the Altar, Chapel and Reconciliation Room:
The Women of St. Francis are committed to keeping our sanctuary in an orderly state. Please join us on the second Friday of each month to clean the the altar, chapel and reconciliation room.
Liturgical Cleaning Checklist
- Altar:
- Dust Altar, Ambo and Credence Table
- Dust brick ledge and tree when needed
- Organize Ambo (remove any old papers to sacristy-please do not throw items away)
- Place any dirty linens in the main sacristy for Sacristan to clean
- Remove old flowers, clean vases and place in the Chapel Sacristy
- Water plants
- Sweep and mop the altar and steps
- Straighten Missalettes in/on chairs (every other chair)
- Remove any trash from chair pouches
- Chapel and Reconciliation Room:
- Dust Furniture
- Clean candle stands/remove old matches, etc.
- Straighten Missalettes in chairs/remove any trash from pouches
- Place all kneelers under chairs
- Sweep and Mop
- Dust Reconciliation room furniture
- Vacuum Reconciliation Room
- Bring rubber gloves, extra paper towels, and cleaners(windex/pledge etc.) if you can.
