Christmas Mice Cookies

Peanut Butter cookie dough
1/2 c. dry roasted peanuts
Red Cinnamon candy pieces
4 yards thin red licorice, cut into 3-inch pieces

Shape dough into 1-inch balls; taper 1 end of each ball to form a teardrop shape. Press 1 side flat; place cookies, flat side down, 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Gently press in sides of dough to raise back of mice. Gently place 2 peanut halves in dough for ears. With a wooden pick, make a 1/2-inch hole at tail end. Bake at 350 F. for 9 minutes. Remove from oven and carefully place red cinnamon candies in cookies for eyes. Return to oven and bake for 1-2 additional minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven; insert red licorice pieces into tails. Cool on wire racks.

Makes 4 dozen cookies.
